WE BRING THE STUDIO
YOU BRING THE ACTING
Shoot on Site is an entirely new concept in self-taping. We like to think we're taking our idea of 'support' that little bit further. Like... around 15km further. Think of it like Uber for self-tapes... You schedule a time, provide the location and we bring the studio to you.
When would I need this?
- You're an actor on set and you urgently need to put down a tape. You've got a break, but not long enough to leave.
- You're rehearsing a play and don't have any time to tape. Why not ask the stage manager if you can use the rehearsal room before rehearsals, at lunch or at the end of the day?
- Time is tight and you simply unable to make it to our Tempe studio and back.
- You're an agent who needs multiple clients self-tape for a project. We can set up in your office so you can oversee the scenes and offer direction, and get them all done in one hit.
- It's a high-stakes audition or call-back and you need your team involved - a coach or director, your own reader or readers, hair and make-up artists - and you're most comfortable in your own space.
- Perhaps you can't find someone to look after the kids?
Send out an SOS.
We bring the essential components of our working studio to you; camera, lights, audio capture equipment and backdrop. We can come to your home, office, rehearsal room, agency, trailer - wherever. All we need is a quiet space that's at least 3m x 2m. Leave the rest to us.
We're currently able to service approximately a 15km radius from our Tempe studio, but if you're a little further away get in touch and we'll try to work something out.
We will compile and edit your showreel from existing footage. This means, if you have scenes from a film, TV show, short film, TVC or music video that you have appeared in, we can create a dramatic, visual mix-tape of your best stuff.
To get started, you just need to source HD copies of your footage (minimum 720p). You can provide us with online links on sites like Vimeo or YouTube (provided they're downloadable), share your files with us via an on-line file-sharing site or send us a DVD or USB stick in the mail.
If you're having trouble tracking down your footage, a good tip is to ask the producers of the project to provide you with HD digital file (e.g. .mov, .mp4) or DVD of your scenes/episode/film. They're generally very happy to help if they have the time and ability. Otherwise go and buy the commercial DVD if you can and we can extract the scenes from that.
All you have to do is go through your footage and select which scenes you wish to use. Then, provide us with link, file-name or DVD disc number (if applicable) and the start and end times for the scenes you wish to consider, and we can take it from there.
A face-to-face consultation is provided to talk through the process, if you require, though it can generally be worked out over email.
Your showreel will be uploaded to our Vimeo account, an online account of your choosing, or delivered as a file for you to download.
If you would like a DVD authored with menus and chapters, this will be $100 extra.
Generally a one-week turnaround.
